Atlanta Trip

We just got back yesterday from a great weekend trip to Atlanta. We went down to see Shann, Clint's best friend and Brennar's Godfather, he is playing football there. We were able to hang out with him a lot more than we were expecting, it was so nice. We stayed at the hotel that is connected to the CNN Center - it was huge - I had no idea. Sunday, Shann gave us tickets to the game, great tickets btw:) We sat 10 rows up, right behind the Falcons bench. It was really fun to see Shann play at this level, we are so excited for him!
Here Brennar is with his *famous* Godfather!!!I couldn't find any Falcons clothes small enough that fit Brennar, so I bought a black onesie and made one myself:) The front has Shann's number, 39, and the back says Shann and 39 below it - his back is a little too small to fit Schillinger !

Griz game!!!!

This weekend, the Griz came to play Northern Colorado, which is about 30 minutes away from us. I convinced Clint to take the afternoon off so we could take Brennar. We had a great time. Brennar loves anything where lots of people are around so naturally, the football game kept him pretty entertained!!

When I was working in Missoula last fall, Clint came to visit me and we went to a couple of the games then. At one of them we went into the bookstore on campus and I found a #16 jersey (that was Clint's number when he played). I was beyond excited!!! I still haven't taken it to get STAPP put on the back, but I will soon.

Isn't he adorable in it?!?!
After the game, as I was cleaning the kitchen...He is so dangerous, you can't take your eyes off of him for a second!!

Sunday, Clint and I decided to go to a movie and run some errands so we dropped Brennar off with his Grama and Grampa Stapp. As always, it was against my better judgement, not because they can't do it, they are extremely capable, but because I miss him! We weren't even out of their neighborhood and I told Clint I wanted to go back and get him. Clint said no:( but luckily on the way over I sat next to Brennar and took some pictures of him, so I just looked at those instead!

This was a great shot of his two teeth, so I thought you needed to see this one too:) Grama Erin is coming to visit tomorrow so we will have lots of new pictures to add soon!!

What, September is over?????

My goal of having this blog was so that I could let everyone know what was going on with our family, I really had every intention of updating at least once a week, to say the least, I am failing miserably! I am going to try a lot harder, from now on, to do this, I promise!

The month went by incredibly fast for us. We just had so much going on. I am sure this is how most families with school age kids feel, but I just wasn't ready for it. We went to San Diego over Labor Day, then we have just had a bunch of "stuff" happening. Brennar and I started a Music Together class with our good friends Valerie and Eli that is every Tuesday morning - during nap time - so "we" are still deciding if we like it:) but, so far it has been a lot of fun; I decided to do Bunco with the ladies in my neighborhood, which is once a month, and LOVED it; I am doing a womens bible study every Wednesday morning, it has been great so far, I have met quite a few young moms in it, which if great for me; I am trying to do a MOPS group every other Thursday with Valerie; and I am doing a book club once a month with the neighborhood ladies too. We have gone to two Broncos games, two Rockies games and I threw Valerie a baby shower. So... that is why I haven't been good about blogging!!

Although our month was jam packed, we have had so much fun. We love going to the games together and it seems like Brennar does too! Of course, I didn't bring the camera with to any of them:(

Brennar has had a big month too! He has his two bottom teeth now, he is so cute, but I will miss his little gummy smile!

Its hard work getting teeth!!

He has also learned how to pull himself up on, well, anything!! (Sorry to overload you with pictures, but I just can't help myself!!)

He doesn't like smiling for the camera at all:)

Him and his best buddy Eli checking to make sure they ARE doing something they aren't supposed to be!

I am hoping this will be to my advantage when he starts potty-training:)

He also had his 9 month check-up yesterday. He is weighing in at 19lbs exactly, which puts him in the 25% and 30 inches exactly, which is 95%. So he is still long and lean like his daddy!

Sorry again for the marathon post, I promise I will be better in the future! And, again, because I just can't help myself, here are a few more pictures of my little prince charming!!
He is definitely a Stapp boy!

I was going to use this to blackmail him when he is older and has a girlfriend, but then I remembered I won't ever need to because I am never going to let him have one!!

San Diego with the Rockies!

This last weekend we got the chance to go see a Colorado Rockies away game with the team. Clint's work is one of the sponsors of the Rockies and every year as a thank you to them, the team takes all the sponsors to an away game. This year, it just so happened to be in San Diego. At first, I was a little dissappointed that we would be going to the same place we had just been less then a month before, but it actually turned out to be great.
They flew us down on Friday morning, and we then had the rest of the day to do whatever we wanted. We stayed right on the bay in downtown San Diego, so there was a lot for us to do within walking distance of the hotel. It was fantastic! So, being the wild party animals that we are, we ordered room service and took naps:) That same night we had tickets to the game. I was a little worried about Brennar since he had only slept about an hour and had gotten up so early, but he was a trooper. We lasted well into the 6th inning!! We were told, no less than 30 times, how good our baby was. He is such a fantastic little man, even when we travel and mess up his routine.
Saturday we had the entire day to ourselves, so we walked around Sea Port Village in the morning and got lunch. We are people watchers, so the board walk was the perfect opportunity for us to do that:) Later, we went back to the hotel and took Brennar to the hotel pool, which of course, he absolutely loved! I cant wait to take swim lessons with him next summer! Then we had another relaxing night walking around The GasLamp District. The last time we were there, we ran into a cupcake shop, so I HAD to go back this time. I seriously was talking about it for an entire week leading up to the trip:) My good friend from Colorado is almost 9 months pregnant and her only craving has been cupcakes, so we brought her home a box too!
It was so nice to not have a schedule and so much free time. We felt like we had already seen all the big attractions around San Diego, like the Zoo and Sea World, (although I would have gone back to Sea World in a second if Clint would have let me!!) so we really were able to just hang out and relax. It was a prefect little trip for us, and it doesn't hurt that it didnt cost us a dime either!!
So sorry, but I forgot to bring along my camera:(

Just one more...

I have almost completely updated you on what is going on with us, but I just couldn't resist adding one more picture of our little charmer!!!

Ok, two!!! (on the way to his first Broncos game)

Trouble!!

Brennar has been reaching milestone after milestone, I know EVERYBODY says how fast babies grow, but this is ridiculous! He used to be so small and tiny, ok, so he is still a little small, but he used to just lay wherever you put him. Not anymore!!

He now eats solids - sweet potatoes, carrots and bananas are his favorites
He can crawl, everywhere! Baby gates are now a must
And... this is how I found him when I got him up from his nap a couple weeks ago!!!!

He is DANGEROUS!!!! But we sure love our little climber!! He still could not be a better baby, we truely are so blessed and lucky to have this little man!

Grama Erin and pool time!

Brennar seriously is a fish in the water. He loves it! You have to keep such a strong hold on him otherwise he will kick and splash himself right out of your arms. I am so thankful to have a little boy that likes the water so much, hopefully he will take after his mommy and be on the swim team:) As long as, football, basketball, baseball, golf, and pretty much any other sport that involves a ball isn't going on!!
While my mom was here, she got a few really cute pictures of Brennar in his 6 month picture (which will really be take the day he turns 8 months) outfit. He is such a little poser!
Here are a couple self portrait shots my mom took with Brennar. Don't tell his daddy about the flower in his hair:)

San Diego continued!

Here are some of my favorite pictures that my mom got while she was with us.
At the Zoo, Brennar's first time putting his feet in the ocean! It was about 65 degrees and he still loved it! On our way out for dinner, for some mommy and daddy alone time! This is how he looked the entire vacation! On our way to the airport, it was 4:45 in the morning and he was still happy, notice his foot - he was a little tired:)

San Diego!

We just got back from San Diego earlier this week, it was the best vacation! We all had such a good time. Again, Brennar did great on the plane. He is constantly wiggly, seriously, the kid doesn't sit still for longer than 3 seconds, but he fell asleep in Clint's arms on the way there and mine on the way back, it was so nice!

The first day we were there, we just hung out on the beach at the resort we were staying at and waited for our room to get done. It was really nice to relax and watch all the people in the water. We dipped Brennar's toes in and he seemed to like it! When we got checked in, we were thoroughly disappointed with our room, so unfortunately, we spent the night trying to find a new resort to stay at:( (we did and it was fantastic)

The next couple days we went to Seaworld, Wild Animal Kingdom and the Zoo. It was a lot of fun. Wild Animal Kingdom had a Safari tour of the park - this was Clint's favorite part of the three parks, Brennar didn't care for it too much since he had to sit still for longer than 2 minutes. My favorite was Seaworld and Shamu. It still amazes me that killer whales will take commands from people, it was definitely just as cool to me this time as it was when I was 6. Brennar did great all three days we went to the parks. He just sat in his stroller and took in the sights, it was great he could look at things when he wanted to and when he was tired he just closed his eyes. The majority of the time he was kicked back relaxing, with his foot resting on the tray, it was adorable, everybody who walked by him said how cute it was!

We brought a nanny, a.k.a Grama Erin with, so a few nights Clint and I went out for dinner by ourselves in downtown San Diego (Roy's Asian Fushion - highly recommend if you're in San Diego) and were able to go jetskiing in the bay. We had so much fun. It was so nice to have her with!! I dont think I will ever be able to take a trip without my little man, so bringing someone with to babysit will have to do it. If our niece could just be old enough already!!!!

All in all it was a great trip, now we can't wait to plan our next family vacation!!! Tahiti here we come!!!

(my mom has most of the pictures, so hopefully I can add those soon)
