Hawaii!!!

We had the best time we possibly could have had in Hawaii. It was absolutely amazing. Clint and I were a little nervous for the long flight, but of course, Brennar was a champ. Out of the 8 hours of actual flying, he maybe was upset for about 3 minutes. It was perfect, so I think this means Clint is up for another trip there next year!! Elmo did most of the work for us on the plane:)

This was with in a couple of hours of getting to our resort. We took a little walk to see what the resort was like and we stopped at the lagoon they had. I let Brennar get out and put his feet in the water and he wouldn't get back in the stroller, so we had to carry him, crying, back to the room to put his suit on and go play in the water longer:)

Doesn't he have such a little angel face??? Dont mind his "leash", against my better judgement I let him wear it so he could walk, I mean RUN, freely!

There really wasn't a lot of grassy area around the resort, but we did find this one spot, we went here everyday so let Brennar lose for awhile:) I LOVE pictures of kids walking from behind, especially when its my own!

My sweet little boy giving the sheep a kiss:) He will kiss most objects you ask him to, but not too many people, mostly just his mama:)

At the sand pool, we unfortunately didn't find this until one of the last days, but he loved it, if you can't tell!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary while we were there and Clint's dad gave us a private dinner on the beach, it was amazing, we even had our own butler out there tending to our every need! It really was an awesome thing to be able to do, we loved it!

Brennar even learned how to surf while we were there, isn't he just amazing!!

We had a chance to play with the dolphins at our hotel, too. The age group was for 2-4 year olds so we said Brennar was 2:) Our fearless little guy was a little afraid of the dolphins when they were close to us, but loved waving bye-bye to them

This was on a hike we took, it was beautiful! Brennar was a champ, he had to be in the backpack for about 4 hours and did great.

I know this was a really long post, but hopefully it makes up for not posting for 2 months!!

Getting so big...kinda!

Brennar went to the doctor last week and he is "perfect". Those are the doctors words, not just mine:) but, I could have told anyone that!! He weighs a little over 21 pounds, which means, he is in the 10-15th percentile, whoo hoo!! He is 34 inches and is in the 97 percentile for that, so he still is my long and lean little man

SEE......

He is not a very good eater, as I am sure you can tell by his huge weight gain of less than a pound in the last 3 months, but he does like cookies!!!

Have you ever seen a happier little boy?!?!?! Isn't he such a cutie:)

26 weeks with Brennar

20 weeks with baby #2

This is for those of you who say I am so small. CLEARLY, that is not the case!!!! I am huge already, and yes, I have made the doctor check to see if there is more than 1 in there, but nope, only 1:)

Also....

During this break from blogging I took, we found out that baby #2 is a GIRL!!! We can hardly wait! I thought the entire time before we knew it was a boy, so to say we were shocked just doesn't cut it! I actually made the ultrasound tech show us three different times:) We have our next ultrasound in 2 weeks, so stay tuned to find out if she has changed to he! And, everybody we tell that we are having a girl to asks what her name is, she does have one, but, just like her brother, we are keeping it a secret until we see her little face:)

If you wanna be an animal on the farm...

Those of you who watch the Disney channel, know exactly where that title comes from, It is one of Brennar's favorite little songs:)

We took Brennar to the stock show back in the beginning of February (better late, than never to update the blog!) and he LOVED it. I wasn't sure how he would react seeing all the animals, but he thought it was just awesome. He never has "really" been afraid of anything, thats an understatement, this child has NO fear, but he did great. We went to the petting zoo, I think he would have pet th animals a little more, but it was crazy busy in there, so he was good with mom holding him and showing him the animals.

We had gone to the show to see a showing of the draft horses,but missed it, so this was the only horse Brennar got up close and personnal with!

Brennar's birthday: Take 2

As promised (3 months late) here are the pictures of Brennar's actually birthday party with his friends. He had about 10 little people over, along with some of our friends and family too. It was a lot of fun, seriously!! I ordered all the food we were having, so that took pretty much all the stress out for me and I was just able to enjoy myself. He didn't think it was too cool opening presents again, luckily about 4 little ones helped:) But, he sure does enjoy all those presents now! We all had a really good time, and the lucky little boy that he is, he gets to have another one the end of June to celebrate his half birthday!! (guess it's not so bad to be a Christmas baby in the Stapp house)!

I have been so bad about keeping up with this, however it is for a GREAT reason! We are having a second baby!!! We are beyond excited, I have just been very sick:( So, I am going to at least post these pics, and I promise to update on everything else really soon, seriously, I promise!

Brennar's Birthday Celebration: Take 1

On December 27, 2009, our baby boy, Brennar Matthew, came into our family and changed ourlives forever. He has been the biggest and best blessing to our family, we love him more everyday, and yes, that is possible! So... he just turned 1. It was such a fun day, he loved every minute of it. We had a birthday party at our house with all our immediate family. It was perfect. Brennar didn't care so much about his presents, he preferred to hang on to his favorite girl cousin, Maddi. He LOVES her. But, he did enjoy his cake! I made him a gaint cupcake cake, it was awesome, if I do say so! Clearly, from the pictures you can see Brennar thought it was awesome, too!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Brennar!! You will never know how loved you truely are!!!!!

Christmas!!

We had an absolutely amazing Christmas, it really was the best one we have all EVER had! Christmas Eve was spent with the Stapp family and Christmas day was spent with the Koepps. We all had so much fun, it really is amazing seeing Christmas through the eyes of babies.

Unfortunately, Clint ended up working later than we thought on Christmas Eve so Brennar and I, (and my parents) went to church by ourselves and then came home and waited for daddy to get off work to go to Grama and Grampa Stapp's house!

This is Brennar in his Christmas outfit, he was adorable! It would have been a better picture if two people weren't taking them at the same time:)

We were so excited we couldn't stand it:) FINALLY, Clint got home and we were off! We were able to spend it with all of the Stapps - including Art's brother and his girlfriend and her son, Great Grama June and Great Grampa Lou were able to come, too. We decided to open presents first, so little ones weren't asking all through dinner when we were going to, and it worked out perfect. We all (Brion, Liz, Maddi, Drew, Clint, Brennar and I) opened our stockings first. Liz and I both got a gingerbread man shaped spatula and that is all Brennar cared about the rest of the night. He carried it around through-out presents and even had it during dinner:) Brennar was totally spoiled!! He got an amazing sled from his Uncle and Auntie - it is so cool, we can't wait to use it, it will be something that Brennar keeps forever, seriously forever, it is that cool! He also got about 100 more things, I loved everything he got, but, like I said, he pretty much liked his Auntie's spatula the best!! We had so much fun over there, it was so nice to see everyone and watch the three little kids open all their gifts. I am pretty sure that Maddi did a fashion show of EVERY outfit she got!! Brennar partied until about 10 that night, crashed on the way home, and was ready to go as soon as we got home! Unforturnately for him, he got put to bed anyways:)

The next morning we did Santa Christmas with our little family first. Brennar got a playset that has a slide, swing and ball pit, I am not sure he liked it as much as his mommy did, but thats ok, its starting to grow on him more everyday!

This wagon, from Grama and Grampa Koepp, was his favorite gift, he sat in it all day, I think

he went on at least 5 wagon rides around the neighborhood Christmas day:)

He especially liked riding with his puppy!!

As you can see, he has his "Brennar's first Christmas" outfit on, so we have completed his year of firsts:(

Here is daddy helping him with yet another toy, see all his loot ALL-AROUND him. That boy made out good!!!

Turns out, Brennar is a fan of clam chowder:) He could have sat on Grampa's lap for hours eating this with him!!

Potpourri

This will probably be a really random posting of our last two weeks...

Brennar absolutely LOVES his dino walker, so I thought I would try it out with him! It actually worked pretty good and we both had fun! Don't mind my "outfit":)

This is Brennar's newest smile, it is totally cheesy, but oh so cute:)

He new he was getting away with something and he thought it was pretty funny:)

Hiding behind the table, once again, he thought he was doing something he wasn't supposed to!

I was cleaning the house the other day, so I set down all of cleaning supplies and Brennar picked up the broom, he knew exactly what to do with it too:) Pretty sure he is hired!!!

Brennar is gated off from the stairs most of the time, so when he gets a chance to climb them he loves it. He could go up and down them all day and be perfectly content.

See, I told you he loves his dino:)

Again, please ignore what I am wearing, I just had to put this one up, because it is extremely rare for Brennar to be still for more than say, 30 seconds, so I made Clint capture it on camera!

This has been the best part of December so far... all of the boxes!!! We get at least one everyday, and everyday we do this:)
