Brilee Grace turns 1!!!

First off, sorry these are all out of order, I have pictures from my camera and my moms. 

Anyways, my baby girl turned 1 on August 24th!! I know EVERYONE always says, "I can't believe how fast time goes" but seriously, her first year seemed to go by much faster than Brennar's :(  Makes me sad, I just hope the rest of the years slow down a little!

Here we are on her acutal birthday. Not a "bad" family picture

 I made her a giant cupcake just like I did Brennar and let her go at it... she liked it for a bit, but wasn't too impressed. I guess she doesn't have my sweet tooth, like father, like daughter!

 But, look who does have my sweet tooth!!

Here is another of those moments when you see how much your kids love each other and it just melts your heart.  No need to tell you, this was seconds before he pinched her for trying to get his chair:)

 I wish I would have got a little better picture here, but this is the present Brennar picked out for her.  We went to the Disney store and told Brennar to pick out a present for Brilee's birthday.  Now, if you have been in this store, you know it is little kid heaven.  But, Brennar actually looked strictly at the girl stuff, for about 5 minutes, then saw this hot pink sparkle Minnie Mouse suit case and ran, literally ran up to it and said this is what he wanted.  It was one of the coolest things I have even seen him do.  The way he looked all over to find the perfect gift.  He is such a sweet boy, I love him so much!

 Brilee got this butterfly chair, so Brennar wanted to get his Thomas chair out, and they both decided they liked the other one's better

 Daddy bought his princess her first princess doll, there aren't too many princesses with dark hair, but Snow White seemed perfect.

We had a really great night, with all the Stapps, and Grama and Grampa Koepp, and GREAT GRAMA FLYNN who came all the way from MN to celebrate with the birthday girl!!

Zoo day for the birthday!

Clint took the day off for Brilee's birthday, so we took the opportunity to go to the zoo, one of the kids' favorite places.  The lions weren't out, so this was the next best

thing, Brennar thought.

Here is the birthday princess, she really had a great time, she is just the perfect height in the stroller now, that she can see either over the bars or under them to look at the animals.

 Brennar enthralled with the polar bear, it doesn't look that close, but it was, it was pretty neat.

 Toyota sponsored the new elephant exhibit and there is all sorts of little things for kids to climb on, this tree was a favorite

 And here is the reason we go to the zoo...to see the rhinos!! He actually liked getting this picture, seriously!

 The train is working again!!! Woo hoo!! Brennar could ride trains all day, he talked both of us into taking him on a ride:)

 I didn't realize until I looked at this picture at home, but Brennar was picking the gorilla's nose, he was pretty proud of himself, I think!

Ahoy Matey!!!

Little Miss Brilee took her first steps awhile ago, although she refuses to do it again, but my friend brought over this walker for her to use.  I'm not real sure either of the kids understand what it is for:) Brilee will climb on up and Brennar will push her around and around on it,while they both squeal with laughter.  It is one of those really proud mom moments when you see your kids playing with each other and truely having a blast together.  You literally can see it in both their little faces! 

 Brennar has also decided he loves pirates now.  Grama Debbi got him this sword the other day and a few days later we bought him a "treasure chest" and inside was the hat, eye patch and earring.  He sure is the cutest pirate I have ever seen:)

Children's Museum

Brennar got a new Thomas outfit, so he wanted his picture taken with Thomas.  I just LOVE that he likes his picture taken and even asks for it. 

For instance, take the picture below, we were trying to get one of Clint and I before a wedding and Brennar wanted to be in it, too, can you spot him?!?!

And here is out attempt at a family picture, great, huh? :)

 We went to the Children's Museum in Denver and had the best time.  Brennar is getting really interested in doing all of the activities they have, rather then just run from one thing to the next.  My baby isn't a baby anymore I guess:(

 I still think Brennar liked the firetruck exhibit the best, but he sure makes one cute little fireman!!

 Brilee got in a little action, too.  She mostly just sat and watched the other kids run around, I think she was a bit overwhelmed, but warmed up a little to check out a huge flower. 

 I can not wait until Maddi can babysit, she is so good with both of them!

Daddy turns 26!!

Clint had a big birthday a couple weeks ago, he turned the big 2 - 6. Ok, so maybe its not a milestone birthday or anything, but every birthday he has, puts him closer to me in age... until I have my next one that is:) 

 Brilee got all dressed up, she doesn't wear pretty clothes everyday, only on special occasions:) ok, maybe that's a fib!

Either way, I don't think her daddy could ask for a cuter little princess!

 Note her baby, she has recently discovered that she is obsessed with it.  If she hasn't had it for awhile and she gets it in her sight, you should see her light up, it is adorable!!

 I am really bad about planning outings if it isn't just our family, but I did my best and planned a dinner with a couple of our close friends.... which meant, Grama Debbi got to babysit.  She happened to have Maddi and Drew for the weekend, so they came with.  I don't think Brennar and Brilee like them very much though, so that is too bad, just look at the pictures below...

So maybe they are just slightly infatuated with them:)

 Brilee has also found the dishwasher, I thought climbing in it was only a boy/Brennar thing, but clearly I was wrong

Brennar and Brilee had the best time with Maddi and Drew, Brennar asks almost every day now to go see "my friends"  :)
