Merry Christmas!!!

Just as fast as Christmas came, it went, except the opening presents part, that drug on for hours, seriously, HOURS!

We celebrated Christmas Eve with Clint's family, and as usual, had a wonderful time. Brennar absolutely loved seeing Maddi and Drew, as a matter of fact, he says MaddiDrew at least once a day, just like that, too, he may think they both go by that name:) He wasn't super interested in opening presents this year again, I was a little surprised. He mostly just liked being with his cousins, he can't get enough of them!

I forgot to take my camera out of the diaper bag, so unfortunately dont have any presents from the night:) But, I assure you, a good time was had by all!

Christmas morning Brennar walked down to find this haul!! Santa was very good to him! When he went to sit on Santa's lap he asked for a train, so everytime we mentioned Santa, he said "Santa bring train", luckily, Santa remembered, and brought not one, not two, but three trains! Brennar was in heaven!

Here are the 2 pictures we took before our first "break" in opening gifts. I wasn't lying when I said it took hours!! We checked out all the Santa gifts for about 90 minutes or so, then Brennar wanted to take his trains downstairs to the track, so thats what we did.

After that break, we resumed opening gifts, here is what the rest of us got....

Clint loves him some Chelsea Handler!

And Grandma loves her some Brilee:)

I got the Ugg slippers I had been wanting, yay!

Brennar got a Thomas shirt

Here is Brennar on his new bike!! He is not even 2 (in this picture) and he is already riding a bike WITHOUT training wheels!! He's a stud, I know!

Another Thomas outfit, this kid loves ALL things Thomas!

Trying on boots

And here is Miss Brilee, in her daddy's favorite gift, Jordan shoes!! There will be no shortage of sports in this house!

Grampa and his Princess

It was the best Christmas we have ever had, I am sure each year I will be saying this!

December - Christmas and birthday

This is a post of the rest of our month, minus the two big events, Christmas and the big boys birthday party.

These few pictures of Brilee are from our little photo shoot today while Brennar napped. She smiles the most when he is around, but cracked a few for mommy:)

Doesn't she have the sweetest little face????

I love her so much!

She asked for a profile shot here:)

Just wanted to show off her fairy wings! Is that not the cutest little shirt ever?

It doesn't get any better than this!

She is so sweet and precious, I am a VERY lucky mama!

This is Brennar's newest train, Diesel 10!! He waited patiently for 5 days for him to come in the mail. We told him it was coming on his birthday, so every time we mentioned something about his birthday all we heard was "Diesel 10 come in mail, Diesel 10 come in mail"

My pretty, pretty princess

She is so big now, she already sits in the high chair

She loves her bath time, she is growing out of this tub, luckily we just got a new one for her:)

Isn't this too cute, Cookie Monster on his little butt, with his Elmo socks:)

Yay! We were finally able to bust out the slide!! He loves loves loves it! I can't wait for it to snow again so we can take him more!

Sheer joy!!

Talked daddy into taking him out, too!

I love my two boys so much!!

The snow was so deep in the yard he could barely walk three steps without falling over, he still loved it though

Winter in CO, dont get much better than this!!

Mini family vaca!

We took a little vacation the 2nd week of December down to the Colorado Springs area. We had the absolute best time, it honestly couldn't have been any better. We got up early Saturday morning (for those of you who know Clint well, know that getting him to take off a Saturday is HUGE) and drove down to Canon City. About noon we got on the Santa Express. It's a train that travels through the Royal Gorge and goes up to the North Pole to pick up Santa. Here is Brennar and Daddy, getting ready to take off.
Brennar is looking a little concerned here because the train stopped, he didn't like that idea too much. But, luckily, it only stopped for a few minutes so Santa could get on.

And, a couple minutes later....

The big guy made an appearance! We were towards the back of the car and Brennar waited, not so patiently, for Santa to get to him. It was a LONG few minutes, since he saw him right away:)

But, thankfully, he brought presents!! Each of the kids got a jingle bell and lucky Brennar got 2 since baby sister couldn't hold hers yet:)

After we got back to the station we headed down to Colorado Springs to stay the night at the Broadmoor. Those of you from Colorado know how amazing this hotel was. I was beyond excited. I had only been there once before and it was when I was newly pregnant with Miss Brilee and didn't feel so hot, so I was looking forward to a much more enjoyable trip this time!

My little man and me at one of the many gorgeously decorated trees. I could have walked around for hours looking at all the decorations. The hotel is set perfectly at the base of the mountains and had just a little bit of snow, it was so beautiful.

I was really looking forward to taking Brennar swimming that night, so we made our way down to the pool. Clint got in with Brennar then asked me about 2 minutes later if I wanted to swim with him, so I did. Little did I know how cold the water was. Brennar's little lips were quivering, so we only let him swim for about 5 minutes before we headed back to the room.

Brennar knows how to dine in style! It is quite and adventure to take both kids out to eat anywhere, so we usually opt for take out, but here we got to order room service. Brennar thought it was great:)

He could have entertained himself all day in the room!

Daddy and Brennar outside our room by the fireplace

Me and my little man by the fire

Around 10 or so we headed to the North Pole! They have one of the many workshops Santa uses to make toys for kids right here in Colorado! It is a little theme park with a few rides and shows.

Here is the princess taking a ride on the train. It was about 55 outside, so dont think I made her be out in the bitter cold:)

Brennar thinks this is how you smile, not sure where he got it from, but anyways, he was thrilled to be riding on another train!

He also got to ride in this car all by himself. He had a blast. He thought it was so cool!

And, thank goodness, they had a fire truck ride for him also!

It was such a great weekend, we all had the best time. Even Clint agrees that this will be a yearly tradition for us now!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We got all of our decorations put up, finally, took about 3 weeks:) So, the kids took a few, "Tis the season" photos for me!

So fun! Can't wait for Christmas to be here, I have a feeling Brennar is going to LOVE it!
